Pay: $115.00-135.00 per hourAssignment Length: Initial 3-month contractPotential to extendStart Date: January 5 2026Openings: 9Details: Urgent Care clinicMonday-Friday 1:00p-11:00p or 1:00p-1:00aWeekends 9:00a-7:00p or 9:00a-9:00aAverage 10-15 PPDMust be proficient in laceration repair I&D and foreign body removalEmergency Medicine Physician present at all timesEMR: EPICCredentialing: 21 daysRequirements:Active Georgia licensure Board certificationAHA BLS ACLS and PALS certificationsMinimum 1-year Urgent Care experienceResponsibilities (Generalized): Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditionsDevelop and implement individualized treatment plansOrder and interpret diagnostic testsPrescribe medications and manage chronic conditionsProvide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices.Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialtyCollaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated careDocument patient care accurately and thoroughlySkills: Strong clinical knowledge and assessment skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with patientsProficiency in performing physical examinations and procedures relevant to their specialtyCritical thinking and problem-solving skills to diagnose and manage complex medical conditionsTime management skills to manage a patient workload efficientlyAbility to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a healthcare team RequirementsEducation: Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g. family practice adult-gerontology pediatrics) Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies (MPAS) degree from an accredited program Licenses & Certifications: Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Georgia National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area by a recognized certifying body (e.g. American Academy of Nurse Practitioners AANP) Active and unencumbered physician assistant (PA) license in GeorgiaNational certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) Experience: While specific requirements may vary most locum APP positions prefer candidates with at least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty Additional Notes: Locum tenens APP positions are temporary assignments often lasting weeks or months to address staffing shortages in hospitals surgical centers or other healthcare facilities These positions offer competitive pay and flexible schedules allowing APPs to pursue diverse work environments and control their workload BenefitsTravel: If you reside greater than 50 miles from the facility you are eligible for travel benefits. You will have your travel and lodging arranged by our travel department and paid for in full. Please note that this position is offered as an independent contractor (1099) role and does not include the typical benefits associated with a W-2 employment such as health insurance retirement contributions or paid time off.
