Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Title: E-LOP Group LeaderDuration: 2024-2025 School Year Classification: Nonexempt- Part TimeSalary Range: $20.00-$22.00hrDepartment: TCF ProgramsReports To: Director of ProgramsLocation: Lodi-San Joaquin CountyHours: Monday-Friday, 12:00-6:00pm (Hours May Vary)Job SummaryThe Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) Group Leaders, you will play a pivotal role in planning, creating, and implementing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students. You will be responsible for leading a group of students through a variety of recreational and educational activities which support student's learning as well as promote self-esteem in small group settings that fit the ASES Grant requirements of the following activities.Expanded Learning Opportunities Program (ELO-P) Group Leaders must meet qualifications as required by the Lodi Unified School District Program, ASES Grant, and TCF.Essential FunctionsSupervision and SafetySupervise up to 20 students during program school hours, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times specifically designated by the Program Facilitator.Enforce program rules and policies to maintain a safe and orderly environment.Respond promptly and effectively to any emergencies or incidents that may arise.Confers immediately with the Program facilitator concerning suspected child abuse and follows the mandated reporting procedure.Activity Planning and ImplementationPlan and organize age-appropriate activities and projects to engage students in constructive and educational pursuits.Lead group activities such as arts and crafts, sports, academic enrichment, and recreational games.Incorporate STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) concepts into activities to promote holistic learning.Academic SupportProvide homework assistance and academic support to students as needed.Collaborate with school staff to align after school activities with classroom learning objectives.Monitor students' progress and provide feedback to help them achieve academic goals.Behavior ManagementSet clear expectations for behavior and conduct within the program, promoting a positive and respectful atmosphere.Implement appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary, following program guidelines and protocols.Foster a culture of inclusivity and diversity, promoting acceptance and understanding among students.Communication and CollaborationMaintain open and effective communication with students, parents, school staff, and program administrators.Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement program goals, strategies, and initiatives.Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities as required.Additional ResponsibilitiesFulfill any other duties as assigned by the supervisor, recognizing that the role may evolve to include new tasks introduced by the company.Job QualificationsMinimum Knowledge/Experience/RequirementsMust be at least 18 years of ageMust have at least 48 semester college units or successful completion of the Paraeducator examTB test clearanceMust pass DOJ/FBI criminal background checkMust be punctual and reliableMust possess strong classroom and behavioral management skills.Must have experience working with youth and general knowledge base of core elementary subjects.Must be able to work independently or as part of a team.Must be able to communicate openly in a professional manner with staff, students, parents, and community partnersLicense/Certification/ClearanceSexual Harassment Training Certificate *requiredMandated Reporter Training Certificate *requiredFirst aid and CPR Certification *preferredPhysical DemandsMust have sufficient strength, agility, and mobility to perform essential functions of position and to safely supervise children’s activities including the ability to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.Must be fit for frequent bending and standing.Work Environment/TravelMultiple site locationsReliable transportationCOVID-19 considerations: Following all CDC guidelines for a safe environment.Equipment, Tools, and Software - Basic knowledge and ability to operate/use: (preferred)ProcareMicrosoft software, Office 365, Teams, Employee Live, PowerPoint, Forms, Word, etc.Zoom/Google LiveDeputy/PaycorSkillsExceptional leadership skillsExcellent written and oral communicationOrganizational skills/Time managementCollaboration and service orientationOther Skills/RequirementsPossess Integrity -- being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and valuesPeople-oriented and energetic -- enjoys interacting with people and working on group projectsAdaptable -- remains flexible and easily adapts to change and operational needsTeamwork -- collaboration, communication, and shared goals -- "Like minds coming together to create change"Professionalism-exhibiting a courteous, conscientious, and business-like manner in the work
