Position Type:Substitute Long-Term/Grades- SecondaryDate Posted:12/2/2025Location:Archbishop Murphy EverettPosition:Long-Term Theology Substitute Teacher Posted: December 2 2025 Closes: Open until filled Start Date: January 12 2026 March 20 2026 We are seeking a long-term substitute for two sections of Theology 10 and supervision of one Community Period (homeroom). These classes would all meet every other day between 8 am and 12:35 pm. Qualifications: B.A. / B.S. (or higher) in Theological Study or related field. It is required that Theology teachers be practicing Catholics and hold catechetical certification (Level 1). Preference will be given to candidates with successful high school teaching experience in Theology on a block schedule. A current Washington State Teaching Certificate is preferred. Salary: Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity internal salary ranges market data applicants skills and prior relevant experience degrees and certifications. FTE 0.5 Daily Rate Range: $153.60 - $305.58. Benefits: This is a non-benefited position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: We seek a part-time Theology teacher effective January 12 2026. The teacher has an assigned mentor group and supervisory responsibilities during our Community Period. The purpose is to provide general support and advising for students while creating smaller communities within the larger schoolhouse. Must be a practicing Catholic enjoy working with high school students and be committed to helping students learn.
