Long Term Substitute Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Instructional Teacher at Schaumburg Community Consolidated School District 54

Primary Responsibilities:Participate in IEP conferences and other meetings where the special education teachers expertise is needed.Plan and implement instruction to meet each students individual learning needs.Collect data for progress monitoring of curriculum and IEP.Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Functional Behavior Analyses with the IEP team.Utilize the Child Study Team as a resource to problem solve and collaborate around student needs.Establish and maintain open and positive interactions with students and their parents.Establish and maintain open and positive interactions with all staff members.Maintain accurate and timely documentation and follow established timelines for completing paperwork.Provide technical expertise/guidance to non-certified personnel and volunteers.Pursues educational studies to maintain and improve professional levels of performance.Other responsibilities as directed by the building and district administration.Qualifications:Illinois State Professional Educator License with LBS1 endorsementKnowledge in best practices for students with autism spectrum disordersExperience with students on the autism spectrumLong Term Daily Substitute Rate $200/day benefit information Key Skills Experience Working With Students,Early Childhood Education,Classroom Management,Classroom Experience,Lesson Planning,Preschool Experience,Special Education,Computer Literacy,Teaching,Cordova,Experience with Children,Toddler Care Employment Type : Full-Time Experience: years Vacancy: 1
