Long-Term Substitute Outdoor Classroom Teacher Assistant (Beginning 1526) at The Pegasus School

We are searching for substitute teacher assistant in the Outdoor Classroom to support an anticipated leave beginning January 5 2026.This assignment is anticipated to extend through approximately March 31 2026 with the opportunity to join the daily sub pool following the end of the long-term assignment. Hours are Monday through Friday 8:00 AM to 2:30 PM. Rate of pay is $20.25/hour.Our mission is to inspire bright curious minds to become confident compassionate leaders. Their work includes helping implement the outdoor education curriculum preparing learning stations and assisting with hands-on instruction in areas such as science art and nature exploration. They help maintain the outdoor classroom environment collaborate with teachers to ensure safety and readiness for student use and assist with supervision during outdoor learning times. Experience or coursework in early childhood education environmental studies or related fields is helpful as is familiarity with educational technology and Google Suite for Education.Possession of a minimum of 12 ECE credits. Consideration will be given tocandidates with a background in a regular classroom outdoor education and campexperience as well as course work or experience in child development learning theory orScience including Biology Life Science Environmental Education (or the like).To apply please submit an online application.
