We strive to create an inclusive work environment that fosters respect and dignity for all.Long Term Substitute: Special Education TeacherStudley Elementary SchoolQUALIFICATIONS:Massachusetts Licensure as a Teacher of Students with Moderate Disabilities (PreK-8)Exceptions to the above qualifications shall be made as the Superintendent deems appropriate and acceptableJOB GOAL/PURPOSE: To ensure that students with an IEP receive services in accordance with federal and state laws and regulations. Provides support through MTSS to benefit all students.REPORTS TO: Building Principal and/or Director of Special Education PERFORMANCERESPONSIBILITIES:Addresses the needs of diverse learners in accordance with Federal and State laws and regulations.Collaborates with TEAM members to implement specially designed instruction to support educational and social-emotional behavioral needs in accordance with students IEP.Collaborates with the TEAM to determine and implement appropriate accommodations for classroom assessments and standardized examinations for special education students.Completes all assigned paperwork for the special education process as required by state and federal regulations.Provides targeted and evidence-based interventions.Fulfills all case management responsibilities associated with the IEP.Uses evidence-based research and continuing education to address MA frameworks and to meet licensure requirements.Performs other responsibilities as deemed appropriate and assigned by a supervisor and/or designee.EXPERIENCE:1-2 years as a special educator preferredSalary - Certified Per Diem Rate $230.00 per dayApplications will be considered when submitted via our online application system withPOWERSCHOOL UNIFIED TALENT.
