Job DescriptionJob DescriptionA long-term substitute teacher's job description includes full classroom instruction, lesson planning and adaptation, student assessment and grading, and communication with staff and parents, providing education continuity for an absent teacher. Responsibilities often extend beyond those of a short-term substitute, as they become deeply integrated into the classroom and school community. A long-term teacher sub in Albia Schools could be assigned daily to different classrooms, grade levels, and content areas throughout the District.
