Job Title: Longwall OperatorJob Location: Leer South Mining Complex (Philippi, WV)RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:Accept, embrace, and promote the following Core Values of Core Natural Resources: Safety, Compliance & Continuous Improvement.Ensure the company's "Absolute ZERO" safety culture is embedded in all work performed.Must safely, effectively, and efficiently work and respond to changing conditions within the mine.Responsible for the safe and efficient production of coal and/or assistance in the production of coal in general work areas.Willing to lead, take charge and offer opinions and direction.Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with all levels of mine management and co-workers.Ability to deal calmly and effectively with high stress situations.Requires being responsible and dependable while fulfilling work obligations.Requires attention to detail and must be thorough in completing work tasks.Establish and maintain personally challenging achievement goals.Must comply with Company and mine policies regarding Absenteeism, Personal Conduct, and Harassment as well as all policies, standards and expectations as outlined in the Employee Handbook or other communication methods during the term of your employment.Must comply with regulatory agencies including MSHA and state regulatory agencies.Must ensure that body mechanics, equipment, and tools are utilized in a safe and responsible manner.Must be able to properly operate all longwall face equipmentMINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS, EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:Must be 18 years of ageMinimum of three years of underground mining experienceExperience as a production operator in Longwall coal miningRecord of good work attendance and punctualityWV underground certification requiredMust have experience navigating the above-mentioned longwall equipment through adverse geology conditions. Must have experience maintaining the longwall face alignment and proper mining horizon.Must be able to work as scheduled and assigned.Must be able to work safely and effectively as a part of a team.Must be able to perform heavy work as defined by the Dictionary of Occupational Titles which may include but not limited to lift, carry, pull/push, climb, shovel, walk, or pry. *Physical demands of the job are subject to change based on industry demandsMust be able to work on/near moving equipment as required by job.Must be able to understand and grasp mining concepts and safety strategies.Excellent interpersonal skillsPOSITION WILL REPORT TO: Longwall CoordinatorCore Natural Resources is an Equal Employment Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer.
