The successful Loss Prevention Officer ensures safety practices of employees and guests throughout the hotel and of course they are relationship builders as they handle emergent situations in a calm de-escalating manner and assist with guest requests while applying customer service. This position reports to the Loss Prevention Manager and the primary responsibilities are listed below to include and are not limited to the following:JOB DUTIESPatrol all areas of the property and assist guests with room accessMonitor security feeds and conduct daily physical hazard inspectionsCalmly respond to incidents and accidents and assist guests/employees during emergency situationsDefuse guest disturbances and escort individuals from the property if necessaryConduct investigations gather evidence and facilitate interviews with relevant partiesAccurately complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documentsReceive and facilitate deliveries of incoming and outgoing packagesGather log and assist with shipping of Lost and Found items from the hotel propertyValet park guest vehiclesSupport other hotel departments as-needed with logistics tasks such as: Food delivery Amenities delivery and other tasks as assignedAll other duties assignedQUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma or equivalentPrevious security experience in a hotel or similar environment and/or formal training in Loss Prevention and 2 years in a position working with the general publicValid WA State drivers licenseClean driving historyMust be able to write type and verbally communicate clearly and proficiently in English and while utilizing phone and computer systemsProficient computer skillsAbility to de-escalate dynamic situationsAbility to perform job duties while demonstrating customer service skills in a fast-paced high volume environmentRenaissance Seattle is an equal opportunity employer committed to hiring a diverse workforce and sustaining an inclusive culture.
