We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Electronic Security Technician to install, service, and troubleshoot commercial security systems including video surveillance (CCTV), access control, and related low-voltage systems. The technician will work independently and with project teams to complete installations efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and configure commercial CCTV camera systems, NVRs, DVRs, and related equipment.
  • Install and program access control systems including card readers, electric strikes, mag locks, request-to-exit devices, and door hardware.
  • Run and terminate low-voltage cabling including Cat5e/Cat6, fiber, and security wire.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and system layouts.
  • Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Configure network-connected devices and basic IP addressing.
  • Train customers on basic system operation and usage.
  • Complete service documentation, installation reports, and job notes accurately.
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools, and inventory.
  • Follow company safety procedures and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and customers on-site.

Qualifications

  • Experience installing CCTV, access control, or low-voltage systems preferred.
  • Knowledge of IP cameras, networking, and structured cabling.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Ability to work from ladders and lifts when required.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
  • Ability to pass background screening if required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with systems such as Honeywell, HID Global, Kantech, Avigilon, Axis Communications, or similar platforms.
  • OSHA certification or lift certification.
  • Low-voltage or electrical licensing where applicable.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in construction environments.
  • Ability to stand, climb, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
