San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living:Nestled in San Franciscos Excelsior neighborhood on a nine-acre campus the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living (SFCJL) is a center of excellence in providing a continuum of care. This includes the Frank Residences offering luxurious assisted living and memory care services; the Jewish Home and Rehabilitation Center featuring long-term skilled nursing short-term rehabilitation and an acute psychiatric unit specialized in mental healthcare for older adults over age 55; and the Jewish Home and Senior Living Foundation.Grounded in the Jewish values of dignity compassion and community the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living fondly referred to in the past as the Jewish Home was founded in 1871. Today 150 years later it continues to build upon its legacy of enriching the lives of older adults.What Youll Do as the APU Nurse Supervisor:As an RN Unit Supervisor you will support the Director of LTC/Post-Acute Care in organizing and implementing nursing care strategies to ensure safe efficient and high-quality care for all residents. You will oversee unit operations supervise staff support regulatory readiness and ensure compliance with clinical standards and state and federal regulations.Essential FunctionsProvide leadership in the development and implementation of goals and operational standards for assigned unit(s).Participate in unit-specific Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities for improvement and initiate Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as directed.Oversee the delivery of medications treatments and nursing services according to individualized care plans and physician orders.Ensure compliance with all local state and federal regulations.Actively support preparation for the annual CDPH survey and help implement Plan of Correction (POC) and IDR activities when needed.Provide clinical support and unit coverage based on staffing needs.Assist the Director of LTC/Post-Acute Care with staff performance monitoring and coaching.Support hiring onboarding orientation and ongoing staff training.Help ensure adequate staffing levels to support admissions and maintain required staffing ratios.Assist in monitoring breaks missed punches and overtime on each shift.Foster a cohesive nursing team built on professionalism accountability and collaboration.Serve on key committees such as Psychotropics Falls Safety Skin Weight QAPI RTA/Transfers and Infection Control.Conduct timely clinical investigations and report unusual occurrences or adverse events to the Director of LTC/Post-Acute Care and CNO.Provide outreach to families regarding care concerns.Collaborate with leadership to promote a culture of service excellence and effective service recovery.Perform other related duties as assigned.RequirementsGraduate of an accredited School of Nursing.Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.BSN required.At least one year of clinical experience in post-acute or long-term care.Knowledge of State and Federal/CMS regulations preferred.Demonstrated leadership ability and strong teaching/coaching skills.Skilled in clinical assessment staff supervision and interdisciplinary collaboration.Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.Proficient with computers electronic documentation and basic software tools.Other Skills/AbilitiesAbility to communicate effectively with patients and family members and at all levels of the organization.Ability to maintain confidentialityAbility to be accurate concise and detail oriented.Capable of performing essential functions of the jobPhysical DemandsAbility to lift push pull a minimum of fifty (50) pounds.Ability to stand for extended periods of timeMust be able to assist in evacuation of residents during emergency situationAbility to bend stoop stretch twist sit and reachFine motor skillsVisual acuityPerform tasks listed above with or without the aid of mechanical devicesEqual Employment Opportunity / ADA / FEHA ComplianceAt SFCJL we comply with the ADA FEHA and all applicable employment laws.
