This versatile role encompasses various responsibilities, including cooking, food preparation, and supporting front-of-house operations. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Responsibilities: Cooking and Food Preparation:Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with established recipes and quality standards.Ensure all food products are fresh, properly portioned, and consistently high in quality.Collaborate with the kitchen team to meet customer expectations and maintain efficient service.Front-of-House Support:Assist with food running during peak hours to ensure timely delivery of orders to customers.Coordinate with servers and other staff to enhance overall customer satisfaction.Prep Work:Conduct prep work on designated days (Monday and Wednesday) to ensure smooth operations during service hours.Responsible for chopping, dicing, marinating, and other preparation tasks as assigned.Schedule and Availability:Work 30-40 hours per week, with the flexibility to work 5-6 days as needed.Maintain a consistent and reliable presence during daytime shifts.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTSExperience, knowledge, and skills required: Previous experience in a similar role preferred.Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.Ability to multitask and handle pressure in a fast-paced environment.Strong communication and teamwork skills.Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and tasks.Benefits:Medical, Dental, Vision and Drug InsuranceFree meals Employee discounts Uniforms are provided Lūʻau Kalamakū is proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
