Back to all jobs at ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH DIOCESE OF HOUMA THIBODAUXLumen Christi Cook - Kitchen Worker# HOURS PER WEEK: Minimum 35 hours WEEKLY SCHEDULE: Schedule may vary from week to week dependingon retreat schedules and bookings. Flexibility is required includingavailability for weekends and evenings as needed. WEEKEND WORK: Must be ableto work weekends during retreats. POSITION SUMMARY:ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THEFOLLOWING: (other duties may be assigned)Preparing and serving meals in Menard and SoubyPurchase food and needed suppliesAssist with planning menus and related activities such as dining room and special medical diets if neededGive special attention to portion controlMaintain all workstations for efficiency and cleanlinessKeep Pantry coolers and freezers organized and cleanAssist in housekeeping with room cleaning and laundry in Menard and SoubyTHIS POSITION SUPERVISES: noneQUALIFICATIONS TO PERFORM THE JOB SUCCESSFULLY:Education and/or Experience:High school diplomaLanguage Skills:Must be able to communicate clearly to all by phone verbally and in written form. Required to speak English.Computer Skills:N/ACertificates Licenses Registrations:All employees of the Diocese of Houma-Thibodaux are required to hold Safe Environment Training and update every 3 years. This training includes a criminal background check.
