ResponsibilitiesThe Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) identifies patient needs maintains quality standards and provides basic patient care. The LVN also partners with the Registered Nurse (RN) to perform skills procedures and other tasks that are outside their clinical scope of practice.QualificationsEducation High School Diploma High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing School program OR become licensed by equivalency requiredLicenses and Certifications BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required LVN - Current State of California Licensed Vocational Nurse License required LVNIVTX - IV Therapy Certification (LVN) required within 180 days of hire or transfer into position ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification preferredCHS HealthStream Course BAC - Basic Arrhythmia Course required within 180 days of hire or transfer into positionDisclaimers Pay ranges listed are an estimate and subject to change.
