JOB DESCRIPTION

Machine Assembler

We are seeking a skilled assembler to join our team, responsible for assembling customized conveyor and material handling equipment from blueprint drawings. The assembler will pull parts and build products according to specifications. While we offer 8-10 basic types of conveyor systems, each one is customized, requiring the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The role involves assembling directly onto the product with some bench assembly for subassemblies.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble customized conveyor and material handling equipment according to blueprint drawings.
  • Pull parts and build products to meet specific specifications.
  • Read and interpret blueprints to customize conveyor systems.
  • Complete assembly documentation and work off job packets and engineering drawings.
  • Perform bench assembly for subassemblies as needed.

Essential Skills

  • Experience with hand and power tools.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
  • Experience in machine building and assembly.
  • Minimum of 1 year of manufacturing experience, preferably with customized assembly companies.
  • Proficiency in using a tape measure.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Owning a basic set of tools is preferred but not required.
  • Must have steel-toed boots.

Work Environment

The work environment is a fabrication and assembly shop where employees will be on their feet all day, utilizing hand and power tools. Assemblers will work off of instruction packets and may need to climb onto equipment as necessary. The role requires adherence to safety standards, including wearing steel-toed boots.

Job Type & Location

This is a contract to hire position based out of Hawley, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $26.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
