Machine Builder

This position involves assembling, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components for automated equipment. You will build sub-assemblies and assemble machines with the help of documentation such as SolidWorks models, mechanical parts and assembly drawings, pneumatic diagrams, and electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Assist in machine power-up, verify I/O and basic functionality.
• Collaborate with team members to debug machines, correct problems, and verify appropriate functionality.
• Participate in the testing and tear down (shipping preparation) of packaging machinery.
• Contribute to the creation and updating of project documentation.
• Perform basic part fabrication and modification.
• Verify fit and function of parts as well as the completion and function of assemblies.
• Use equipment such as hand and power tools, precision measuring tools, grinding/sanding/polishing tools, lathes, mills, hydraulic press, drill press, and fork trucks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in assembly, blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and machine building.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Ability to read assembly prints and electrical schematics.
• Experience with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Job Type & Location

This is a permanent position based out of Maple Grove, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
