Machine Builder / Welder

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Machine Builder / Welder to join our manufacturing team. This hands-on position is responsible for fabricating, welding, assembling, and testing custom industrial machinery. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, welding experience, and the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Build and assemble custom industrial machinery from engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform MIG welding using 75/25 shielding gas on machine frames, guards, brackets, and fabricated components
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings, blueprints, and assembly instructions
• Use hand tools, power tools, measuring instruments, and fabrication equipment
• Perform quality inspections to ensure equipment meets company standards
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment safely
• Assist with machine testing, adjustments, and preparation for shipment
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in machine building, welding, fabrication, or industrial equipment assembly
• Strong MIG welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Forklift and material handling experience
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Dependable with a strong attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience building converting, packaging, printing, or automation equipment
• Welding experience
