About the teamMind Company's mission is to build non-invasive neural interfaces - that is, enabling a communication layer between humans and other humans or computers, directly using thoughts.In pursuit of this mission, our Research Team is responsible for building and training appropriate machine learning models capable of translating brain data into useful forms, such as text.About the roleAs our Machine Learning Intern, you will be working on all our machine learning efforts, the core of our business.You’ll be figuring out how to most accurately and efficiently translate brain wave data to useful forms. You’ll work with researchers, hardware engineers, and the Lead Machine Learning Engineer.This role is based in San Francisco, CA. We're an in-person company who deeply believe that great products are not built working from home.In this role, you'll:Work across our ML stack, and occasionally work on general software efforts as wellBuild, train and deploy our ML translation models which convert brain waves into more useful formsLearn about the brain, and understand how optimizing hardware can lead to model accuracy improvementsWe're looking for candidates with the following traits:Juniors or Seniors2+ years of course work or practical work building, training and deploying ML modelsWilling to work hard to balance both work and schoolCurious about the brain, and passionate about unlocking human-computer interactionStrong leadership skills and self-starter, able to carry a project from beginning to endAbout Mind CompanyMind Company is 6-person neuro-tech startup with the mission of building noninvasive neural interfaces.
