JOB DESCRIPTION

Machine Operator

As a Machine Operator, you will inspect materials to ensure they meet industry standards and project requirements. You will adhere to safety protocols and workplace best practices to prevent hazards. Collaboration with engineers, technicians, and team members is essential to ensure precision and efficiency in operations. You will perform quality control checks, document work, troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, and help develop designs for various projects. Your role will also involve using a variety of tools and equipment, reading and interpreting blueprints and engineering drawings, and maintaining and calibrating equipment to ensure optimal performance.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect materials to ensure compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and workplace best practices to prevent hazards.
  • Perform quality control checks and documentation of work.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Help develop designs for various projects.
  • Use a variety of tools and equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proficient in machine operating and techniques.
  • Proficiency in math, including the ability to add fractions.
  • Experience in inspection and production.
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Experience with CNC operations.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read basic measuring devices.
  • Ability to work in high-precision environments and follow strict tolerances.
  • Problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Verbal and written communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience with cutting and forming tubing and other fittings.
  • Proficiency in maintaining a clean and organized workspace.

Work Environment

Work the 1st Shift from 5am to 3:30pm or 6am to 4:30pm, Monday through Thursday. Voluntary overtime is available on Fridays. We respect confidentiality and embody our core values of Integrity, Trust, Creativity and Courage, Teamwork, and Excellence.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of La Crosse, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment. Benefits are subject to change and may be subject to specific elections, plan, or program terms.
