Machine Operator Day Shift $20-22/HR

Join our team as a Machine Operator on the day shift and play a key role in maintaining efficient, high-quality production. This position is responsible for operating and monitoring assigned machines, minimizing scrap, verifying color concentration, and preparing equipment for product changeovers. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and able to troubleshoot equipment issues in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Minimize production scrap on assigned machines and verify correct color concentration
• Prepare for and monitor product changeovers, ensuring proper line clearance and verification
• Compare actual cycle times against established production standards
• Support packers during breaks and lunches by packing bottles as needed
• Verify proper operation of downstream production equipment
• Ensure production of high-quality bottles during system restarts
• Perform daily and weekly preventive maintenance on assigned equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and complete minor mechanical repairs
• Accurately complete machine production line reports
• Identify and respond promptly to machine sounds, alarms, and operating issues
• Assist material operators with tasks as needed to maintain production flow

Essential Skills

• Prior machine operating experience
• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Previous manufacturing or production experience
• Strong attention to detail

Work Environment

• Manufacturing environment (details on temperature and cleanliness provided after facility tour)
• 12-hour rotating shift schedule, working approximately 15 days per month
• Available shifts:
  • Day Shift (A & B): 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift (C & D): 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
• Attendance policy: No-call/no-show results in automatic termination; up to two call-ins allowed per month

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bettendorf, IA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.50/hr.
