You will ensure consistent product quality efficient equipment output smooth production line flow and strong adherence to food safety quality and safety standards. Your work directly supports production success by minimizing downtime optimizing machine settings and ensuring accurate product changeovers.Leadership PrinciplesThis role reflects several of McCains core Leadership Principles:We bring out the best in our people Supporting coordination and teamwork on the production floor.We act like owners Maintaining equipment solving problems proactively and upholding safety and quality standards.We think big and plan ahead Ensuring production systems run efficiently through preventive maintenance and effective troubleshooting.Statement of JobThe Machine Operator is responsible for the safe and proper operation of multiple production machines ensuring all food safety and quality processes are maintained. This position sets up production lines monitors equipment performance adjusts machinery for optimal results and performs light maintenance to ensure minimal downtime and efficient throughput.Major Duties and ResponsibilitiesEquipment Operation & MaintenanceSet up lines according to product specifications.Observe equipment operation and perform necessary adjustments to meet product requirements.Control line flows and blend rates according to product specification guidelines.Monitor product transfer points and adjust equipment to minimize waste.Perform light maintenance and minor repairs on production and process equipment.Adjust machines for optimal efficiency quality output and minimal rejects.Quality Safety & CleanlinessEnsure all safety food safety and quality standards are maintained.Adhere to GMPs work rules and company procedures.Communicate changes in product flow deviations or equipment malfunction to the Production Supervisor.Maintain clean organized and safe work conditions.Team & Process SupportWork collaboratively with team members to ensure efficient production flow.Enter data into computer systems and maintain accurate documentation.Draft routine reports and correspondence as required.Support plant initiatives and continuous improvement processes.Special Requirements / CompetenciesStrong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to motivate and coordinate with team members.Ability to read and interpret safety rules operating instructions and procedural manuals.Basic math skills (addition subtraction multiplication division in whole numbers fractions and decimals).Strong attention to detail with ability to adjust equipment accurately.Ability to comprehend and communicate in Basic English.Ability to draft routine reports and correspondence.Computer proficiency for data entry tasks.Physical RequirementsRegularly required to stand walk reach with hands and arms and use hands/fingers.Must be able to stand on feet for extended periods.Frequently required to talk or hear.Occasionally required to sit climb balance stoop kneel crouch crawl taste or smell.Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs.Vision requirements include close distance color peripheral depth perception and ability to adjust focus.Scope of AuthorityAll employees have the right to question or refuse unsafe work directives.All employees are expected to take appropriate actions to ensure the safety of people products and equipment.The McCain ExperienceWe are McCain: this statement is about our power collectively and our importance individuallyyour impact is a significant part of the business.
