Machine Operator (Press Operator) 3rd shift at Sika AG

Responsibilities & OpportunitiesSika is looking for experienced Machine Operator to join its growing team in Gastonia NC.  This position will assist the shift supervisor in coordinating the work of production employees involved in production activities.  Requires knowledge of manufacturing processes and product.  Operates manufacturing line.  Requires the ability to vary prescribed operating conditions as necessary to produce quality parts.  Changes and adjust operating conditions to maintain proper quality.Other Duties include:To operate one or more of the following: the mixing system; calendar; press; hot melt; embosser 1 2 and 3; anti-sticking agent unit; adhesive unit 1 and 2; U.V. unit; magnetizing unitTo start up the hot oil heater and water chillersPerform quality testing; make corrections for out-of-spec conditionsEnsure production scheduled to adhered toAssist in training new production employeesPerform some maintenance on the press and report any needed repairs on the machinesAssist in labeling and packing parts Qualifications : Preferred Skills:High School Diploma or GED3 months-1 year related manufacturing experienceKnowledge of metric system computer literate able to operate a forklift and able to read and writeAdditional Information : Perks & Benefits401k with Generous Company Match BonusesMedical Dental and Vision BenefitsPaid Parental LeaveLife InsuranceDisability InsurancePaid time off paid holidaysFloating holidays Paid Volunteer TimeWellness/Fitness ReimbursementsEducation AssistanceProfessional Development OpportunitiesEmployee Referral Program & More!Sika fosters a culture of entrepreneurship empowering each individual to make decisions learn from experiences and shape their own career path.
