Machine Shop Manager at Venture Dynamics

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVenture Dynamics is looking for a Machine Shop Manager.Responsibilities include, but not limited to:Lead, coach and mentor team membersPlans and coordinates work center schedules and manpower requirements according to job requirementsLeads and conducts formal problem-solving training and activitiesReviews relative production reports (productivity, quality, budget, etc) and initiates corrective actions when appropriateUtilizes visual / shop floor management communications for daily operationsIdentifies continuous improvement opportunities to maximize efficiency and productivity of production workers, improve product quality, and reduce costsEnsures in-process controls are routinely followed to verify product quality standards are metEnsure compliance with all regulatory and safety regulations.\Required Qualifications:Strong Leadership/Management SkillsWorking knowledge in CNC programmingCNC & Manual Machining ExperienceQuality Control/Assurance inspection processes.Strong communication skills (verbal/written)Manufacturing experience/expertiseActive clearance or ability to obtain oneAbility to read and interpret complex drawingsAbility to work both independently and collaborativelyMetal Fabrication understandingDesired Qualifications:10+ years of machine shop experience, 5 years in supervisory roleFamiliarity with Shipbuilding IndustryExperience in job shop environmentCAM/CAD experienceKnowledge in continuous improvement & lean manufacturingPay will be commensurate with experience.
