Job Description SummaryThe AMRT Machining Technologies Leader will be responsible for the leadership of a team of engineers and specialists to execute projects supporting GEV Gas Power value streams. This leader will be responsible for developing sound strategic plans to improve safety quality cycle and cost to meet our obligations in customer fulfilment Tx and NPI execution. This person will coach and mentor a team of engineers and specialists in the execution of Advanced Manufacturing and Repair Technology projects supporting machining technologies with a focus on EDM Laser Vision and advanced material removal this role you will coordinate with the various teams to drive the development and industrialization of new machining technologies in the Gas Power supply chain for new and serviceable hardware. This role has the ability to effect short-term and long-term business goals.Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesLead the development and global industrialization of new machining technologies supporting multiple service and new make sites throughout the globe including NAM Europe and MEA.Outline and lead development efforts to build hole drilling and hole clearing processes spanning multiple units across the Asia NAM and EuropeProvide technical guidance for engineers and specialists in the execution of design analysis or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards practices procedures and product / program requirementsRecommend approaches to meet the technical and program requirementsOutline resource planning needs to meet prioritized needs across new make and services locations.Formulate strategy and implement plans to achieve business goals and directives.Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to problemsProvide leadership to other personnel; mentor others in the organizationAssure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and proceduresMonitor and communicate project status business issues and significant developmentsLead or participate in organizational efforts in assigned projects and/or tasksRequired QualificationsBachelors Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering Physics Mathematics or Computer Science from an accredited college or universityMinimum of 10 years combined experience in manufacturing service center or engineering roles.Willingness and ability to travel both domestic and international 10%Desired CharacteristicsMasters Degree in Engineering or BusinessStrong machining technology with practical application background is preferredAdditional experience in manufacture or component repair for industrial gas turbines preferredStrong familiarity with Lean methodologies and Kaizen projectsFamiliarity with services and new make manufacturing processesDemonstrated ability to drive projects to completionStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal and leadership skillsAbout GE Vernova Gas PowerGE Vernovas Gas Power business engineers advanced efficient natural gas-powered technologies and services along with decarbonization solutions that aim to help electrify a lower carbon future. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110% 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
