At STERIS we help our Customers create a healthier and safer world by providing innovative healthcare and life science product and service solutions around the globe.Position Summary As a Machinist your responsible for machine quality parts in a cost effective manner which will be used in the production of surgical equipment and related items and/or contracted business.BENEFITS:Shift: 7:00am-3:00pm Monday - FridayWhat you will do as a Machinist Consistent proficiency in setting up and effectively operating a multitude of CNC and Conventional machines such as Mills Lathes Grinders etc. while effectively maintaining the specified print tolerances notedCalculate and set machine controls to regulate machining repeatability such as speeds feeds overrides. The ability to enter command codes to retrieve machine data for program restarts and alarmsRead and interpret STERIS blueprints Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) includingUse precision measuring devices gages instruments to thoroughly inspect and insure that parts meet the print tolerances and in process dimensionsRemain safety conscious at all times wearing all the required safety equipment for your work area.
