We’re seeking a skilled Swiss Lathe Set-Up Machinist to work with advanced CNC technology in a supportive, professional, and forward-thinking environment.Position: Swiss Lathe Set-Up MachinistBenefits & CompensationPay: $24–$32 per hour (based on experience)Schedule: Day Shift, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PMWorkweek: Four 10-hour shifts, Monday–ThursdayInsurance: Medical, dental, and vision coverageRetirement: 401(k) with company matchPaid Time Off: Vacation and holidaysGrowth: Ongoing training and career advancement opportunities.Qualifications & RequirementsMinimum 5 years of CNC machining experience, including strong Swiss lathe set-up skills - alternatively CNC lathe twin turret and twin spindle machinesProven ability to set up, prove out, edit, and operate Swiss-style CNC lathes or twin turret and twin spindle lathesSkilled in reading blueprints and interpreting GD&T specificationsStrong understanding of cutting tool applications and adjustments for optimal machining performanceMust hold a valid driver’s license.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform complete set-ups and changeovers on Swiss CNC lathesEdit and troubleshoot G-code programs as neededVerify part dimensions using inspection tools, CMM, and optical measurement systemsAccurately record production data, part counts, and scrap in the ERP systemMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaConduct basic machine maintenance and monitor tooling conditionsPreferred Background & SkillsExperience machining complex lathe / Swiss lathe componentsFamiliar with JobBOSS or similar ERP systemsBackground in medical device or aerospace machiningStrong problem-solving abilities and a continuous improvement mindsetAble to mentor junior machinists and share technical expertise.If you take pride in precision, craftsmanship, and teamwork, we’d love to have you on our team.
