Job DescriptionThis position is open to Veterans Transitioning Military members of the Guard and Reserves.Please reviews full job description below:We are currently looking for a Machinist - Mechanic (Diesel) to join our team.What Youll Be Doing:Duties include maintenance of vehicles 40 diesel workboats forklifts small outboard motors compressors air driven and engine driven pumps power blast engines and pumps welders and other shop equipment. Overhauls services repairs aligns adjusts performs preventative maintenance and cleans above listed equipment in accordance with the Preventative Maintenance Plan. Shall maintain records on all maintenance performed.30.49/hrMinimum Requirements:Two (2) years of relevant equipment marine or industrial mechanic experience trade school certificate or relevant experience in the military. Must have a valid drivers license and qualify to operate government/company vehicles in accordance with the Corporate Fleet Vehicle Safety Manual. Must qualify as a Small Boat and Workboat Operator (LCM type) and Forklift Operator within the specified assigned time periods per Offer Letter.Preferred:Five (5) years as an equipment maintenance mechanic. Navy Engineering rating or Armed Forces Diesel Engine Repair Military Occupational Specialty (MOS).
