Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob SummaryThe Assistant Toddler Teacher supports the healthy development and school readiness of young children by supervising and engaging them in daily activities and early learning experiences. This role partners with families and works alongside lead teachers to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with early childhood assessments. Responsibilities include fostering social-emotional growth, maintaining a safe classroom environment, and ensuring compliance with licensing and quality standards.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma required; Associate degree in Early Education or CDA preferred.Experience working with children in a group setting preferred.Valid driver’s license preferred.Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications.Compensation & BenefitsPay $15-$17/hr with a $300 Sign-On BonusFull benefits package includes:Health, dental, and vision insuranceRetirement planTuition assistancePublic Loan Forgiveness eligibilityPaid time off and holidaysWeekly licensure supervisionCompany-issued iPhone and laptopMileage reimbursementKey ResponsibilitiesClassroom Support: Supervise and actively engage children in daily activities, ensuring safety and promoting intellectual, social, emotional, and motor development.Curriculum Implementation: Assist in implementing developmentally appropriate lesson plans and modify plans to meet individual needs.Assessment & Documentation: Administer developmental assessments (e.g., DECA, Galileo) and maintain accurate records, including attendance.Environment Management: Maintain a safe, healthy, and age-appropriate classroom environment; uphold licensing and quality standards.Family Engagement: Communicate daily with parents to support child development and well-being.Collaboration: Work closely with lead teachers and team members; attend meetings and trainings.Professional Development: Participate in required trainings and implement feedback for continuous improvement.Work EnvironmentCombination of classroom and office settings.Exposure to children with behavioral challenges and possible bodily fluids.Requires ability to lift up to 20 pounds.Physical demands:The physical demands are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
