Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) Inspector at Venture Dynamics

Job DescriptionJob DescriptionVenture Dynamics is seeking an experienced Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT) Inspector to support active ship repair and fabrication projects in the Norfolk / Hampton, Virginia area. The Inspector will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on welds and structural components to verify compliance with NAVSEA and customer quality standards.Responsibilities:Perform magnetic particle inspections (wet or dry methods) on welded and fabricated materials.Set up, calibrate, and maintain NDT equipment per procedure.Interpret indications and evaluate results against applicable codes and acceptance criteria.Document inspection results clearly and accurately.Communicate findings with supervisors, welders, and QA/QC personnel.Follow all safety and quality control requirements on site.Requirements:Certification: NDT Level II in Magnetic Particle Testing (ASNT SNT-TC-1A or equivalent).Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on MPT inspection in a shipyard or industrial environment.Working knowledge of NAVSEA Standard Items and weld inspection procedures.Ability to read and interpret blueprints and weld symbols.Must be a U.S. citizen eligible to access naval facilities.Additional Information:Location: Norfolk / Hampton, VASchedule: Full-time; overtime and weekends as needed.Pay: Competitive, based on experience.
