Job DescriptionJob DescriptionDescription:Position Summary: The Maintenance and Reliability Manager will lead the maintenance and reliability teams and support the capital improvement functions at the Red River Manufacturing Facility and Natchitoches Processing Facility. They is a key leader on the Red River Leadership Team and has overall responsibility for maintenance and reliability functions at the sites. They will directly manage, lead and develop a staff of 4-6 direct reports and 17 – 22 indirect reports; and will be responsible for all aspects of personnel and performance management for those in their span of control.Duties and ResponsibilitiesEnsure the highest level of safety and environmental stewardship across the organization.Define, develop, manage and lead the maintenance/reliability/ functions (i.e. strategy, program, budget and culture); including behaviors, policies, procedures, tasks, and metrics to meet business goals and drive a high-performance work culture.Ensure plant production equipment and facilities are available to meet production demand.Work collaboratively with key technical, environmental, safety, operations and quality personnel to drive continuous improvement in plant performance.Support and coordinate work activities across all plant functional areas, including the development of field staffing plans for capital project execution, plant scheduled maintenance outages and major plant repair work.Provide staff development, hiring, coaching, counseling, and training; and ensure organizational performance, growth and learning build a strong, collaborative team in an environment of team member empowerment.Provide strong engineering and technical leadership in the areas of plant mechanical integrity, preventive/predictive maintenance strategies, CMMS development, maintenance planning/scheduling, work system efficiency, root cause analysis, equipment repair techniques and work quality assessment. Lead, manage and provide technical leadership in capital project development, execution, commissioning and budget development/management including areas of safety, alternatives analysis, IRR/NPV, FEL process, scoping, design, quality control, cost control, contractor capabilities assessment and selection, engineering and construction standards, and project management. Lead contractor selection process for Engineering, , Turnaround, and Maintenance Contractors.Requirements:Knowledge, skills, and abilities: Excellent written and presentation skills. Ability to take complex technical and operational issues and distill them down to their essence for communication across the organization. Ability to effectively coordinate and communicate across the entire breadth of staff levels – from Operating/Maintenance personnel to Chief Executive Officer.Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude.Strong project management skills.Motivated, energetic, and enthusiastic People skills including coaching and teaching Highly analytical Excellent problem-solving skills Strong leadership skills with the demonstrated ability to drive behavioral and cultural norms within a work group, and to positively influence peers and others toward a shared vision.Outstanding collaboration and coordination skills. Demonstrated ability to work across functional and geographic linestoward a common goalComputer skills including aptitude for computerized work and proficient working knowledge of the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), MS Project, and CMMS as well as a demonstrated ability to learn other software as necessary.Highly proficient in business writing and presentationAdvanced understanding of CMMSEducation and experience:Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field or equivalent experience requiredSix Sigma and Lean Manufacturing preferredPlant Maintenance or Reliability Leadership/Management experience: 3+ years Financial/Budget/Forecasting/Cost Management experience as cost center owner/manager: 3+ yearsCMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) experience.Chemical/Power/Paper Manufacturing experience with detailed knowledge of chemical manufacturing equipment and processes (i.e. repair methods, material of construction requirements, failure modes, preventive/predictive maintenance strategies/technologies etc.): 5+ years.
