Maintenance and Repair Specialist at DCLI

Monitors and controls all aspects of equipment repair in the Elizabeth NJ area.Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitors and controls M&R costs for chassis within the Elizabeth NJ area.Monitors and controls OOS equipment levels to include repair estimate approval and repair limit complianceUpdates chassis OOS status and notes as needed in CMS-PCEnsures DCLI inspection/repair standards are adhered to on all equipment repairsAssists in continuously investigating ways and means to reduce overall M&R costs while ensuring service levels are not compromisedWorks with labor to increase productivityMonitors and controls spare parts inventory levels of DCLI owned partsResponds to all correspondence ASAP no later than one working dayReviews work order input in CMS-PC on a daily basis and transmits work orders dailyResolves work order input discrepancy with Operations CoordinatorPerforms DCLI monthly safety meetingsMonitors and reviews safety policies and proceduresMonitors and releases any DVER/DVIR inspections that location is notified ofGenerates information for third party billing/damage recoveryHandles chassis service calls with over the road driversTracks and orders license plates for chassisWorks with the logistics team to ensure proper inventory levels are kept in locationsMonitors and controls inventory levels of DCLI owned tiresCoordinates off-hire and scrap chassis programsCoordinates repairs on client chassis too include interaction with client representative related to estimate approval and billing in Depot SystemsQualificationsFive years experience in maintenance and repairThorough knowledge of chassis repairAbility to effectively communicate company policy and proceduresAbility to identify problems and seek solutionsAbility to work independently and efficiently to meet daily requirementsInterface credibly with vendors and terminal personnelAbility to work with internal and external customersMust be able to pass a pre-employment drug screeningDirect ReportsN/ABenefitsWe understand that your role at DCLI is only part of who you are.
