Currently, we are seeking qualified candidates for hourly production team member positions in our Columbia, South Carolina manufacturing facility. As an hourly production team member, you will need to work in a fast paced, high-speed environment, following standardized work, and adhere to safe work practices in a continuous improvement environment. Job purposeThe Maintenance and Utility Manager is responsible for the safety, quality, cost and efficiency of the Maintenance Organization. The Maintenance and Utility Manager will ultimately be responsible for the overall reliability of all equipment. The Maintenance and Utility Manager will have an in-depth knowledge of the Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance procedures. They will direct maintenance personnel to achieve maximum reliability performance while performing work safely and with quality work for the entire facility.What you will do The Maintenance and Utility Manager will organize and oversee the Maintenance organization of the facility, including all equipment in the operational areas like the Batch, Melting, Sizing, Bushing, and Fiber Forming/Fabrication areas and the equipment in the Maintenance areas including Compressed Air, Natural Gas, Process Water, and Fire Systems.Partner with other managers to formulate objectives and achieve requirements.Select, supervise, develop, and build the capabilities of the maintenance team Management factory utility system of Water station, Gas Station, Substation, Waste gas station and Compressed are station.Ensure maintenance support is available as needed and service machinery repairs are completed in a timely manner.Monitor and evaluate all equipment systems for the production workshop and make necessary changes for continuous production improvements.Administer and support the plant Preventative Maintenance program and train personnel on the program while maintaining its operating effectiveness.Maintain ongoing training programs in all areas of manufacturing maintenance and assist in developing new programs that will improve productivity, quality, and safety.Remain aware and trained in all technical advancements in the area of responsibilityEstablish maintenance programs and procedures directed at stabilizing and improving machine operation and output.Lead troubleshooting activities related to equipment failures, quality problems or environmental exceedances.Must be computer literate; experienced in using computer software applications such as CMMS, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Management, etc.Other duties assignedWhat You Need to SucceedAbility to work any shift Flexibility to work overtime as scheduled, including weekends and holidays Must be 18 years of age and have obtained a high school diploma or equivalent. An engineering or related degree is preferred QualificationsMinimum of 5 to 10 years’ experience in maintenance leadershipBS in Engineering or relevant field (Preferred)Fiberglass and/or Composite experience (Preferred)Proven experience as a Manufacturing Maintenance ManagerIn-depth knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical maintenance proceduresKnowledge and Understanding of Health & Safety regulationsProficient in MS Office and ERP softwareOutstanding communication abilityExcellent organizational and leadership skillsAttention to detail, Problem Solving skills, and Decision-Making skillsPhysical requirementsRequire physical inspection of all areas of the operations several times a day, requirement to be on the floor approximately 70% of the time. Must be able to walk through entire operations, climb stairs and vertical ladders to access the manufacturing areas.Working conditionsFast Paced Environment in a Manufacturing operation. The job will normally work Monday through Friday with normal business hours; however, this position is responsible for an operation that run 24/7 and will often require evening and weekend work to oversee the operations. Area is not climate controlled, and subject to extreme temperatures especially around the melting area. Other areas have numerous chemical tanks and require respirator use in batch area.
