Job DescriptionJob Description Job Summary: The Maintenance Manager oversees site equipment and systems, leading preventative maintenance and repair programs while supervising and developing a team of technicians. This role ensures operational reliability, safety compliance, and minimal downtime across all facilities.Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and follow standard procedures to monitor equipment performance, safety, and effectiveness, ensuring compliance with industry standards.Lead troubleshooting efforts and coordinate solutions for equipment repairs, including PLC systems, hydraulics, and pneumatics.Create and manage work orders, parts inventory, and maintenance budgets using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Obtain competitive bids for outsourced work, oversee contractors and vendors, and ensure warranties, service contracts, and compliance standards remain current.Recommend equipment upgrades or improvements; prepare technical reports documenting modifications, maintenance procedures, and performance outcomes.Plan and schedule maintenance activities, workers, and materials to minimize downtime while adhering to safety requirements and regulations.Perform preventive maintenance, skilled repairs, and root-cause failure analysis on complex electrical and mechanical production equipment.Install, inspect, repair, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, safety, and waste management systems following standard operating procedures.Support capital projects through equipment evaluation, selection, installation, and integration into production processes.Conduct regular safety and production meetings with maintenance staff to reinforce best practices and continuous improvement.Collaborate with trades contractors on specialized projects or complex repairs requiring additional expertise.Train, evaluate, and coach team members; manage scheduling, performance reviews, rewards, discipline, and conflict resolution in alignment with HR policies.Log equipment modifications, maintenance details, and work activities in designated systems to ensure accurate records and reporting.Perform other duties as assigned to support overall operational efficiency.Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or relevant certification/education preferred.Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, ideally within a heavy truck manufacturing environment.At least 5 years of supervisory experience, with proven ability to lead and develop teams.Strong ability to assess needs, take initiative, and work independently as well as collaboratively.Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Hands-on experience with equipment design, operational efficiency, cost control, and quality standards, including PLCs, mechanical drives, hydraulics, pneumatics, and control systems.Knowledge of regulatory requirements including OSHA, DEQ, and EEO standards.Skilled in preventive maintenance planning software and computerized maintenance systems.Physically capable of performing demanding tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and crawling in confined spaces.Able to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., work in extreme hot and cold environments, and perform tasks requiring squatting, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and standing for extended periods.US PersonEqual Opportunity Employer, Disability/Veteran
