We are looking for an energetic, hands-on Maintenance Manager with a strong background in manufacturing and a passion for driving continuous improvement. This individual will lead the site's maintenance and engineering strategy, ensure operational reliability, and build a high-performing team aligned with safety, compliance, and production goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Champion a safety-first culture through leadership, work practices, and employee training.
- Lead, develop, and coach a skilled maintenance team to support 24/7 food production operations.
- Maintain compliance with food industry standards, including audits, regulatory requirements, and GMPs.
- Drive performance by implementing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs using a CMMS.
- Optimize uptime of high-speed packaging and automation equipment, including robotics and PLCs.
- Collaborate with Production, Quality, and Engineering to align maintenance initiatives with business needs.
- Manage departmental budgets, inventory levels (MRO), vendor relationships, and capital projects.
- Monitor, analyze, and improve maintenance KPIs (MTTR, OEE, PM compliance, etc.).
- Ensure facility maintenance, utility systems, and building infrastructure support uninterrupted production.
- Develop and enforce SOPs, training materials, and maintenance procedures.
- Manage third-party contractors and service providers for facility repairs and specialized equipment maintenance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- 5 - 10 Years' Experience in a manufacturing facility
- 3 - 5 Years' Experience in a supervisory or management position
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, pneumatic and mechanical systems
- Effective interpersonal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite including Excel and PowerPoint
Requirements
- Experience dealing with high-speed production and multiple production lines and processes
- Experience dealing with facility maintenance
- 5 years experience in Maintenance Leadership
- Experience in:
- Developing, maintaining, and overseeing maintenance programs
- Employee training
- Coaching and discipline
- Root Cause Analysis
- Experience utilizing a CMMS system
- Maintaining and analyzing maintenance records
- Time management and Prioritization of work
- 5S, clean work-place skills, good organization
