Maintenance MechanicWhat this job involves:As a Maintenance Mechanic at JLL youll play a vital role in maintaining the physical integrity and functionality of commercial buildings ensuring optimal environments for our clients and their occupants. This position involves performing comprehensive maintenance repair and restoration tasks across building systems and infrastructure. Youll work as part of a collaborative team that embraces innovative ways of working while maintaining the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Your expertise will contribute to JLLs mission of shaping a brighter way for our clients by delivering exceptional facility management services. The role requires a proactive approach to building maintenance emergency response capabilities and a commitment to maintaining clean safe and functional work environments that support everyones wellbeing.What your day-to-day will look like:Perform repair maintenance restoration and replacement of various building structural components and systemsMaintain and repair locks locking mechanisms door closers furniture and access control systemsConduct plumbing maintenance including toilets urinals lavatories flush valves sinks drains water heaters and sump pumpsComplete painting projects on interior and exterior building surfaces including surface preparation and primingHandle general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures installing keyboard trays and repairing office furniture systemsRespond effectively to building emergencies and perform assigned facility inspections to ensure satisfactory client occupancyClean HVAC coils change filters and belts and maintain building documentation including fire safety systemsRequired qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent educationMinimum 3 years of relevant experience in general building repair and maintenance basic plumbing and electrical workExcellent verbal and written communication skills with demonstrated mechanical and electrical aptitudeAbility to regularly lift up to 25 lbs. and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.Capability to safely perform overhead work while standing on ladders up to 28 feetPhysical ability to regularly walk bend stoop crouch crawl lift push and pull as required for maintenance tasksCommitment to following all safety procedures and maintaining clean organized work areasPreferred qualifications:Completion of applicable technical training program or vocational certificationExperience with HVAC systems maintenance and repairKnowledge of hazardous materials storage usage and disposal proceduresPrevious experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities managementFamiliarity with building management systems and documentation processesLocation:On-site El Paso TXIf this job description resonates with you we encourage you to apply even if you dont meet all the requirements.
