Are you a seasoned professional in the field of machine maintenance with a knack for solving complex mechanical problems? We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic team in the Engineering industry. This is a unique opportunity to apply your expertise in a challenging and rewarding environment, where every day presents a new opportunity to make a tangible difference. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of a wide range of industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machine maintenance, repair, schematics, and HVAC systems.
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Mechanic, your duties will include:
1. Conducting regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
2. Performing routine and preventative maintenance on various types of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance at all times.
3. Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical problems quickly and efficiently to minimize downtime.
4. Reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports to understand the layout and function of machinery.
5. Collaborating with other team members and departments to implement machine upgrades or repairs.
6. Providing expert advice and consultation on complex maintenance issues, recommending solutions, and assisting in their implementation.
7. Maintaining accurate records of all maintenance work performed, including parts and materials used.
8. Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
9. Training and mentoring less experienced staff members on machine maintenance best practices.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Consulting Maintenance Mechanic position will possess the following qualifications:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in machine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting, preferably within the Engineering industry.
2. Proven expertise in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
3. Extensive knowledge of HVAC systems and their maintenance requirements.
4. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical issues.
5. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical information clearly and effectively.
6. A strong commitment to safety and adherence to all relevant regulations and procedures.
7. The ability to work well in a team, as well as independently when required.
8. A high level of physical fitness, as the role may involve lifting heavy equipment and working in confined spaces.
9. A relevant certification or degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is preferred.
10. Willingness to participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
