We are a growing food manufacturing company committed to producing high-quality products in a safe, efficient, and well-maintained environment. We are seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Mechanic to support our operations and minimize equipment downtime.
Position SummaryThe Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, safety compliance, and continuous improvement across the facility.
Key ResponsibilitiesPerform preventive and corrective maintenance on production and facility equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
Respond to emergency/unscheduled repairs during production
Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment issues
Read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work orders
Replace or repair defective parts, test equipment, and make necessary adjustments
Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and records
Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime
Ensure compliance with GMP, OSHA, and company safety standards
Maintain clean and organized work areas
Participate in safety programs and meetings
High school diploma or GED required
2-4+ years of maintenance experience (food manufacturing preferred)
Strong mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Experience with PLCs and HVAC systems is a plus
Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, or FDA regulations preferred
Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs.
Frequent standing, walking, bending, and use of hands
Exposure to machinery, noise, and industrial environments
Must be able to work safely around mechanical parts and equipment
Competitive hourly pay ($20.00-$30.00 based on experience)
