Job Summary

We are hiring an immediate, full-time Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our industrial metals manufacturing facility in Franklin Park, IL. This role blends strategic leadership with hands-on technical execution. You will directly manage a team of 4 technicians, oversee preventive maintenance (PM) programs, coordinate external contractors, and ensure complete OSHA compliance across all building and production systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Supervise, schedule, and mentor a team of 4 technicians (3 on 1st shift, 1 on 2nd shift).
  • Production Equipment Maintenance: Oversee and perform in-house mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, and PLC troubleshooting.
  • Facility Infrastructure: Manage building systems, including HVAC filter maintenance, minor drywall/plumbing repairs, and electrical wiring.
  • Contractor Management: Write work orders, hire, schedule, and audit specialized outside contractors.
  • Inventory Control: Maintain an accurate inventory of replacement parts and source supplies from local vendors.
  • Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict OSHA guidelines, including Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and annual fire safety inspections.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Experience: 3-5 years of maintenance management or supervisory experience, ideally in metals manufacturing or coil coating.
  • Technical Skills: Strong hands-on experience in industrial electrical systems, PLCs, and controls.
  • Blueprint Reading: Proficient in reading electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical layouts.
  • Safety First: Thorough understanding of OSHA regulations and hazard communication.
  • Organization: Strong computer and organizational skills to track work orders, inventory, and vendor documentation.
  • Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and drive locally to retrieve supplier parts when needed.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $95000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
