Job DescriptionJob DescriptionOverview:The Maintenance Supervisor leads a multi craft maintenance crew and engages their team to perform their best in all aspects of their activities at the Narrows Celanese site. They use knowledge of the process, product, people and equipment to improve the reliability, quality and safety of the unit.  This role reports to the Site Maintenance Manager and works closely with the operations team, engineering and other supports functions at the Narrows VA site.Responsibilities: Stewardship – Engages team for zero incident cultureCreates safety culture within Maintenance teams on proactive hazard recognition and facilitation of safe work execution.Quality – Ensures work quality (right the first time)Provides oversight for quality on repairs (minimizes rework)Holds team accountable for quality repairs and procedure adherenceMaintains high standard for housekeeping and job executionEngagement – Creates an environment for teaching, coaching and learningAdvocates for both company and team needsWorks with others to solve problems and develop skills – stay in complianceEngages mechanics in proactively make improvements.Production/Reliability – Work ExecutionProvides technical expertise level above craftManages work schedule complianceIntegrates central and core maintenanceFacilitates failure analysis and provides support on potential issues that could comprise the CORE principlesStrategy – Implements maintenance plansOwnership of weekly schedule – provides input and feedbackManages Area planner and ensure quality job plans are being developedManages multi-craft fully functional teamsCommunication – Effective communication to key stakeholdersCommunicates progress, needs, and gaps to partners and stakeholdersProvides updates on KPI’sEscalates issues that can’t be solved with base resources regarding key activities of Stewardship, Quality, Reliability and EngagementShares and facilitates best practices between units and/or sitesQualifications:High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate degree or higher a plusMachinist / Millwright experience highly desirable 5+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic2+ years of experience in a leadership roleKnowledge of and experience with continuous improvement practicesSolid computer skills, SAP experience a plusAbility to build partnerships to achieve common goalsAbility to gather trust and confidence of others through honesty, integrity and authenticityAbility to work efficiently, plan and prioritize to meet common goalsPowered by JazzHR55a5Mloasm
