Job DescriptionJob DescriptionJob Description: Cook Duties and Responsibilities:Setting up, cleaning, and organizing work stationsPreparing ingredients for shift; washing vegetables, chopping, seasoning meat, etc.Preparing oven, utensils, and grill for shiftTaking orders from wait staff or computerized systemCooking order according to food health and safety standardsRecommending ideas for specials or seasonal dishesHandling multiple food orders at one timeMonitoring multiple food orders as new orders arriveDressing order for presentationEnsuring each guest order has the correct food and sidesDelivering food order to wait staff in a timely mannerStoring all food properlySanitizing and cleaning work stations and utensilsMonitoring other cooks and team membersAssisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when neededCook Requirements and Qualifications:Able to work in a fast-paced environmentAble to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficientlyPhysical endurance to stand for entire shiftAble to quickly memorize complex or multiple ordersPrevious experience as a busboy, washer, waiter, cook, or relevant work experienceAble to bend, move, and lift up to 25 pounds or morePhysically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to lift up to 25 pounds or moreAbility to multitask and remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
