Job DescriptionJob DescriptionAbout the Role:The Maintenance Supervisor plays a critical role in ensuring the efficient operation and upkeep of all facility equipment and infrastructure. This position is responsible for overseeing the maintenance team, coordinating preventive and corrective maintenance activities, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Maintenance Supervisor will develop maintenance schedules, manage resources effectively, and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues to minimize downtime. This role requires close collaboration with other departments to support operational goals and maintain a safe working environment. Ultimately, the Maintenance Supervisor ensures that all maintenance operations contribute to the overall productivity and reliability of the facility.Minimum Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in a related field preferred.Minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance roles, with at least 1 year in a supervisory capacity.Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.Familiarity with maintenance management software and basic computer skills.Understanding of safety standards and regulatory compliance related to maintenance operations.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related discipline.Certification in maintenance management or relevant technical certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP).Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing environment.Strong project management skills and experience implementing process improvements.Responsibilities:Supervise and lead the maintenance team, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance tasks to ensure equipment reliability.Coordinate with other departments to prioritize maintenance activities and minimize operational disruptions.Manage maintenance inventory, including ordering and tracking parts and supplies.Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and structural issues promptly and effectively.Maintain accurate maintenance records and prepare reports on maintenance activities and equipment status.Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes and reduce costs.Skills:The Maintenance Supervisor utilizes technical skills daily to diagnose and resolve equipment issues, ensuring minimal downtime and operational continuity. Leadership and communication skills are essential for effectively managing the maintenance team, coordinating with other departments, and enforcing safety protocols. Organizational skills are applied to schedule maintenance activities, manage inventory, and maintain detailed records. Problem-solving skills enable the supervisor to identify root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions efficiently. Additionally, proficiency with maintenance management software supports data-driven decision-making and continuous improvement efforts.
