Pay: $ 27.00
Job Purpose
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and facility assets within a logistics center while supporting safe operations and maintaining equipment quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform assisted and occasionally unassisted preventative maintenance and repairs on all equipment and building assets within the logistics center
- Learn and support maintenance of conveyor systems using conveyor control software
- Safely learn and work with electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3-phase
- Ability to assist with the removal and installation of equipment
- Assist in maintaining all spare parts inventory
- Learn and operate computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
- Maintain assigned tools and ensure they remain in good working condition
- Maintain a clean and quality appearance of all equipment and facility assets
- Follow all Lock Out-Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, including execution and recordkeeping
- Meets all attendance policy and lead by example for all safety standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by Management
Qualifications (Required)
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-3 years of industrial or commercial maintenance experience
- Ability to replace and diagnose AC/DC electric motors, mechanical drives, and gearboxes under the guidance of an experienced technician
- Basic mechanical repair experience and troubleshooting abilities to include bearings, chains, and belts
Skills & Knowledge
- Able to gain a working knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fire suppression systems, conveyor systems
- Ability to learn conveyor systems using conveyor control software
- Able to safely learn various electrical systems ranging from 24VDC to 480V 3phase
- Capable of learning robotics and automation equipment
- Ability to learn and operate computerized maintenance management software (CMMS)
Physical Requirements
- Physically able to stand, climb ladders, crouch, crawl and lift 50lbs unassisted for extended time periods
Work Environment & Schedule
- Able to keep non-standard hours, work overtime, and be available on call occasionally
