Maintenance TechPOSITION SUMMARY:With minimum guidance in a team environment responsible for performing a variety of maintenance and repair tasks of a complex scope and nature in one or more of the following areas: production equipment diagnose and repair of conventional and CNC machinery.RESPONSIBILITIES:Responsibilities may include some or all of the following:Remove repair or relocate CNC machines; install air & water lines; align and adjust machines for production operation.Diagnose defects and perform repair and preventive maintenance to various types of hydraulic equipment CNC machine tools building plumbing and related equipment.Construct install maintain repair and overhaul test stands fixtures and related hydraulic equipment.Setup and operate arc and acetylene welding equipment.Perform high pressure tubing and hose fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic application and contamination control.Plan layout and construct additions partitions benches shipping boxes and other carpentry.Assist in planning sequence of operations and methods to be used in overhaul and repair.Check and calibrate new or rebuilt equipment after installation.Identify and repair CNC machine malfunctions.Troubleshoot electrical plumbing hydraulic and mechanical operations for proper operation.Use precision test equipment.May work with computers and computer software to create and operate programs reports and spreadsheets.As a specialized hazardous material technician may:Coordinate inventory and pickup of hazardous material and maintain current inventory of on site chemicals.Advise and assist in cleanup of chemical spills.Coordinate packaging labeling storing and scheduling pickup of hazardous waste for offsite disposal.Maintain accurate records of all hazardous waste shipped offsite.Initiate compliance inspections.Provide technical assistance on hazardous materials compliance and safe practices.Perform other related responsibilities.Job Requirements:Five years related maintenance experience or demonstrated ability to perform describedresponsibilities.May require proficiency with pump and valve overhaul procedures especially aerospace associated equipment.Ability to work from blueprints and sketches.Possess required tools.May require ability to setup and operate hand and power tools.May require working knowledge of national state and local electrical codes.May require knowledge of general hydraulics technology i.e. pumps cylinders accumulators filters & piping; tube bending piping fabrication for hydraulic and pneumatic applications.May require knowledge of chemicals and their characteristics.May require working knowledge of computer and computer software to operate programs create reports and spreadsheets.May require a Hazardous Material Handling CertificateRequired to lift up to 50 pounds.May require forklift operator certification.Must demonstrate effective verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.Ability to work with others and be a participative team player.
