Job Description:Mars Petcare- Columbus OH is looking for a Maintenance Technical LeadPay:- Hourly Rate: $43.27- $57.69 /HR (based on experience)- Shift Premium: $1.50/HR- Sign-On Bonus: $5000K*Additional Total Rewards BelowWhat do we ManufacturePedigree Cesar Nutro Royal Canin Iams Whiskas Sheba pet food and Greenies and temptations treats.What is the required shiftRotating shift between 1st 2nd and 3rd shift (must be available for all three)1st shift: 7am-3:30pm2nd shift: 3pm-11:30pm3rd shift: 11pm- 7:30am4th Shift: OFF 5 days in a rowWeekend Hours: 12 hour shift*Further discussions in interview processJob PurposeResponsible for providing efficient safe and reliable leadership to the shift maintenance team. This role involves indirect management planning maintenance and troubleshooting of the sites manufacturing equipment utilities and factory infrastructure.What are we looking forMinimum Requirements:High school diploma GED or higher3 years of maintenance technician experience in mechanical and electrical disciplinesUnderstanding of electrical understanding (e.g. AC/DC Electrical up to 480VAC 3 Phase etc)Knowledge of mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulic and pneumatic systems etc)Prior experience in developing and coaching peersPhysical Requirements:Frequent lifting/carrying (10-50 lbs.) and pushing/pulling (50-200 lbs.)Frequent handling/gripping/bending/stooping.Ability to work at elevated heights off a ladder or platform climb stairs leaning over equipment.Ability to stand and / or work on feet for extended periods (minimum 8 hours/ shift).Ability to work in varies manufacturing environments and non-temperature-controlled rooms.Ability to read write speak and understand EnglishPreferred Qualifications:Technical/Trade Certification or technical degreeIndustrial electrical experience5 years of experience maintaining and troubleshooting process and packaging systems in a manufacturing environmentPrevious manufacturing experiencePLC/Instrumentation troubleshooting skillsWhat will be my Key ResponsibilitiesAssist technicians in troubleshooting repairing replacing and calibrating electrical sensing devices and instrumentation including:Photoelectric inductive capacitive pressure temperature weight position sensorsFlow and analytical instruments480V electrical power systemsInstrumentation motor controls VFDs servos I/O devices/modules PLCs and HMIsIndirectly coach coordinate and develop the technical teamEnsure a safe working environment by adhering to established safety permits OSHA regulations escalation protocols corrective actions and food safety risk assessmentsSupport factory utilities infrastructure including air compressors boilers chillers and wastewater systemsInitiate Breakdown Analyses (BDAs) for failures that meet the BDA trigger criteriaPerform ad hoc requests as neededTotal Rewards:Based on experience between $43.27- $57.69 /HRShift differential of $1.50/HROT potentialAnnual bonus pay outYearly pay increasesMedical Vision & Dental- Starts day one!Up to 6% 401K matchVacation timeTuition reimbursementShort/Long Term disability18 weeks Parental LeaveWhat can you expect from MarsWork with over 130000 diverse and talented Associates all guided by The Five Principles.Join a purpose driven company where were striving to build the world we want tomorrow today.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package including company bonus.Best-in-class learning and development support from day one including access to our in-house Mars University.An industry competitive salary and benefits package including company bonus.
