Job Description

Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Fort Wayne, INPay: $32.45/hr while training, increasing to $33.70/hr on nights (includes $1.25 shift premium). Paid weekly on Fridays.Shift: Nights, 2-2-3 schedule (5:45pm-6:15am). Overtime may be required.Benefits Start: Day 1What We OfferStarting pay $32.45/hr with night rate of $33.70/hrWeekly pay every FridayPaid vacation, sick time, and 11 paid holidaysAnnual performance bonus (4% of gross wages)401k with company match (RIC 1-7%, 50% match up to 3%)Health, dental, and vision insurance (Day 1)Tuition reimbursement$600 annual tooling allowance (paid semiannually)Battery program (2 per year, after hire)PPE, uniforms, safety glasses, safety shoes (up to $150 annually), and earplugs provided$1,500 referral bonusRecognition programs: Safety Week, Retiree Parties, Tenure Awards, Annual Company PicnicJob ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, repair, and maintain production equipment, including conveyors and roboticsWork with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systemsDiagnose and repair issues with PLCs, VFDs, and high-voltage circuitsPerform preventative maintenance to maximize equipment uptimeRead and interpret schematics, manuals, and work ordersOperate shop tools as needed (lathe, milling machine, drill press, grinder, saws, etc.)Follow all safety standards, including LOTO and PPE requirementsQualificationsMinimum 5 years of industrial maintenance experience preferredHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredStrong mechanical and electrical repair knowledgeExperience with hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, and high-voltage systemsAbility to read and interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and work ordersFlexibility to work overtime as neededMust be able to wear required PPEAbout the PlantSince 1999, our Fort Wayne, Indiana Distribution Center has charged, packaged, and shipped batteries for cars, boats, motorcycles, and heavy-duty trucks worldwide.
