Maintenance Technician at Clariant Corporation

Job ID: 40772 Location: Quincy Florida USABecome a part of our outstanding Adsorbents and Additives Maintenance Team! In this role you will be responsible for precision maintenance on both electrical and mechanical crafts while maintaining a high level of ESHA (Environmental Safety Health and Awareness) for yourself your team and adherence to policies guidelines and laws. This position requires covering a rotational weekend on-call shift. At pre-determined times you will need to wear a respirator and should be medically cleared to do so.ResponsibilitiesDiagnose troubleshoot plan and repair all electrical and/or mechanical components.Perform work in mechanical skill areas such as fabrication assembly welding burning cutting and pipefitting.Conduct work in electrical skill areas such as using multi-meters clamp-on amp meters meg-ohm meters wiring 3-phase electric motors and repairing electrical cables.Routinely rig equipment for lifting which may require the use of hoists or cranes. These loads may routinely weigh several thousand pounds.Install rearrange and align complex equipment while keeping track of spare parts and work orders using our internal CMMS.Perform housekeeping and 5S activities in the maintenance shop electrical shop immediate work areas and other designated areas.RequirementsHigh School Diploma or GED required. A 2-year Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance/Technology is highly preferred.Seeking 2-5 years of proven industrial experience (such as Mechanic Millwright Electro-Mechanical Technician or similar roles).Ability to read and write technical drawings single lines manuals and P&ID diagrams.Solid MS Office skills (Word and Excel); experience with SAP is a plus.Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and carry up to 25 lbs.
