Salary: $26 - $30 per hour A bit about us: A growing manufacturing operation is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Technician to support critical extrusion cooling systems. This role is highly focused on maintaining water-based cooling infrastructure that directly impacts product quality, uptime, and overall production efficiency. You'll play a key role in keeping extrusion lines running by ensuring consistent temperature control through properly functioning chillers, pumps, and water circulation systems. Why join us? Stable, long-term opportunity with a growing manufacturer Consistent first shift schedule with overtime available Strong benefits package Opportunity to develop specialized skills in a niche, high-value maintenance area Work Environment Industrial manufacturing setting with heat, noise, and wet conditions Requires adherence to safety standards including LOTO Hands-on role requiring quick response during production changeovers Job Details What You'll Be Doing Maintain and repair cooling systems including water troughs, vacuum tanks, and spray headers Service industrial chillers, cooling towers, and heat exchangers Troubleshoot and rebuild pumps and motors tied to water circulation systems Monitor and maintain water quality to prevent scaling and contamination Install and repair piping systems (PVC, copper, stainless) and fittings Diagnose and resolve flow or temperature issues impacting production Perform preventative maintenance on cooling and fluid handling systems What We're Looking For 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience (extrusion or similar manufacturing preferred) Strong mechanical background with pumps, motors, and fluid systems Working knowledge of hydraulics, flow control, and pressure systems Familiarity with chillers, cooling towers, or heat exchangers Ability to read blueprints or P&IDs Experience working in a fast-paced production environment Nice to Have EPA 608 Certification (refrigeration systems) Exposure to PLC-controlled systems Experience with water treatment, filtration, or closed-loop systems Interested in hearing more?
