By joining our network, you position yourself for opportunities aligned with your career goals.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, write, and debug CMM inspection programs using CAD models and engineering drawings.Interpret complex engineering blueprints, GD&T specifications, and CAD data to define measurement strategies.Execute CMM programs to perform precise dimensional inspections of manufactured components.Analyze and report measurement data, identifying non-formance and supporting root cause analysis.Validate CMM programs and measurement results for accuracy and repeatability.Perform routine calibration and maintenance of CMM equipment to ensure operational readiness.Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize inspection processes and resolve quality issues.Recommended QualificationsProficiency in CMM programming software (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, MCOSMOS).Expertise in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5 standards.Ability to interpret complex engineering blueprints, CAD models, and specifications.Hands-on experience with CMM setup, operation, and fixture design.Strong understanding of metrology principles and measurement techniques.Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot CMM programs and optimize inspection processes.Bonus QualificationsExperience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Inventor, CATIA)Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC) and data analysis toolsExperience programming and operating other metrology equipment (e.g., vision systems, laser scanners)Fixture design and fabrication experience for CMM setupsJob Titles That Should ApplyCMM Programmer, Metrology Programmer, CMM Operator/Programmer, CMM Technician, Dimensional Metrology Programmer, Quality Control Programmer, CMM Inspector, Measurement ProgrammerWhy Pivot GroupThe Pivot Group was founded by manufacturing professionals who've been on both sides of the hiring process.
