The Opportunity We partner with manufacturers across Grandville seeking Controls Engineers who want more than a lateral move. These companies hire intentionally and we connect them with professionals ready for roles that fit. Key Responsibilities Design develop and implement control systems for manufacturing processes. Program and configure PLCs HMIs SCADA systems and industrial robots. Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical automation and control system failures. Develop and execute control system validation testing and commissioning protocols. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements and optimize process control. Maintain and improve existing control systems ensuring reliability and performance. Ensure all control systems comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Provide technical support and training to maintenance and operations personnel. Recommended Qualifications Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g. Rockwell Siemens) and HMI/SCADA development. Strong understanding of industrial control systems including robotics motion control and vision systems. Experience with industrial networking protocols (e.g. Ethernet/IP Profinet Modbus TCP/IP). Ability to read interpret and create electrical schematics and P&IDs. Proven troubleshooting and diagnostic skills for complex automation and electro-mechanical systems. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Automation Engineering or a related technical field. Bonus Qualifications Experience with industrial robotics programming and integration (e.g. Fanuc ABB KUKA). Proficiency in vision systems setup and programming (e.g. Cognex Keyence). Familiarity with MES/ERP integration concepts and data exchange. Basic database skills (e.g. SQL) for data logging reporting and analysis.
