DescriptionGeneral Summary:Performs plumbing work including installing maintaining and repairing plumbing and heating systems.Essential Duties:Installs new plumbing including pipes valves drains basins faucets lavatories sinks drinking fountains hot water heaters and a variety of other plumbing fixtures and equipment;Repairs plumbing systems including pipelines;Repairs chilled and heated water systems;Repairs various appliances including laundry and kitchen equipment;Reads and interprets blueprints and written instructions;Provides assistance to building maintenance as needed;And confers with supervisor concerning construction alteration maintenance and repair projects.Other Duties as assigned.SupervisionReceived:From DirectorGiven:This is a non-supervisory position.EducationRequired:High school graduation or its equivalent; or any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.Preferred:ExperienceRequired:At least three years of experience.Preferred:Certificates Licenses RegistrationsRequired:Texas Journeyman Plumbers license.Preferred:Physical DemandsTypical:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
